Cool Science Stories this week 3
Well, that was a disgusting week for us to get through… Parasites = Yuck.
Next up… Pulleys! Pulleys are everywhere you look and we’ll get into the details of these simple machines.
But first let’s recap some of the other science stories we found this week:

That’s correct! Astronomers now agree that Titan has liquid ethane and methane lakes, rivers and oceans. The Cassini Probe has been orbiting Saturn since 2004 and after examing the data collected this conclusion was made. This makes Titan the only other body other than Earth in our solar system with confirmed liquid on it’s surface.

A new species of ant? Even better than that! It seems that a team of researchers have discovered a blind cave-dwelling species of ant that may be the oldest species of ant in the known world.
It’s been named Martialis heureka which means “ant from mars” and it deserves that name; it’s fairly strange looking.

Fluorescent-Red Glowing Fish? It seems that many fish have a flashy red color on thier bodies that we can’t normally see. Red light travels shorter distances underwater (why the sea looks blue) so this adaptation is very interesting.
and finally….

20 parts of your body you don’t need. No explanation neccesary
We’ll see you tomorrow!
